LFWM AW18

LFWM AW18

Here’s what made the headlines…

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD

This year Vivienne Westwood ditched the catwalk and debuted her AW18 Collection through a Politically Charged Video. Watch it here. Westwood explains her Collection “has a theme of war running through it” and offers timely advice, “don’t get killed”.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION

Fashion sustainability was everywhere – British designer Phoebe English’s entire Collection was curated from new and reused materials. Her presentation backdrop featured a rack draped with clothes, seemingly highlighting the amount of clothes that is produced and discarded every year. Designer Bethany Williams joined in on the fight, debuting three ethically produced items for her first collection.

WINTER OLYMPICS

Band of Outsider’s justifiably made headlines with their unconventional Fashion x Ice Skating Show, widely appropriate with the Winter Olympics taking place later this year. Brand Director Daniel Hettmann described the Collection as “loosened up” suiting – track pants, camouflage cords and shearling jackets were just a few of the Collection’s highlights.

WORKWEAR

Brand’s What We Wear and Wood Wood revived workwear with their practacial and wearable collections. Look out for boxy cuts, big pockets and worker jackets for AW18! Tinie Tempah’s collection definitely has that Action Man edge which we can’t fault, I mean isn’t that every man’s dream?
